The Chair Djeneba Cissé A Forest Engineer was formerly Head of Forestry at Intercooperation-Sahel, a Swiss NGO, and today is Director of Interaction-Environment-Population (IEP).

Executive Secretary Mary Allen Ballo Mary Allen Ballo An Environmental Scientist by training, Mary has lived in West Africa for over 20 years working on a variety of agricultural, forestry and pastoral development projects in Mali, Senegal. Recruited as Executive Secretary in 2005, she has led Sahel Eco since its successful transition to an independent African organisation, to its position today as one of Mali's leading environmental NGOs.
